The Cologne New Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra is the only independent Orchestra in Germany. The orchestra promises you an exciting musical journey. Free of institutional and political constraints on artistic expression, the orchestra is made up of eight to 80 young musicians from all corners of the world whose only common language is music.
The Orchestra has been enchanting audiences for more than 30 years with its electrifying music. The Orchestra has felt the effects of globalisation with musicians fro across the globe joining the Orchestra. Who would have thought that world-class musicians from Columbia, Argentina or even South America would one day be part of an International Orchestra.
A Further sign of globalisation is the number of tours abroad. The success of these tours shows that classical music made in Germany once again enjoys an excellent reputation.
Information and reservations can be made at The Armidale Visitor Information Centre, 82 Marsh Street. Phone: 6772 4655 or www.armidaletourism.com.au and at the Cathedral of St. Mary and St. Joseph one hour prior to the concert from 7pm.
