Armidale TAFE art on show

The New England Institute of TAFE’s Armidale Campus exhibited the fruits of its art and graphic design students’ labours at the art studios last week.
Including photography, graphic design, sculpture and painting, in a broad range of styles, the works on show were extremely diverse. About 300 works were included in the exhibition, which was officially opened by Director of the New England Regional Art Museum, Caroline Downer.
Over 200 people attended the opening night, with many prominent members of local art circles on hand and looking for the region’s next big things
in art.
There were artistic endeavours to suit all tastes: painting, drawing, sculpture, graphic design and photography, from traditional to contemporary styles. Many of the works were for sale but for many of the aspiring artists, it was also a thrill to see their art hanging in an exhibition and scrutinised by a large crowd.
